Let me present you the Nielsen

Your host family is very important while you are studying abroad, they are not just the people you will live with, they will give you big part of your experience of studying abroad.
My host familiy are the Nielsen comformed by my host parents (Monica and Erik) and my host siblings (Madalyn and Liam) and even our kitten (Eva) and our dog (Walle).
Before I arrived to Nova Scotia I received an electronic letter from my host family. I remember what excited I felt to meet them for the very first time. And since that moment, when I knew I would live with them, I knew it would be incredible.
Since the moment I arrived and during all the time I have been here. It has been the best experience I have ever had.

"You do not feel like a guest, you feel like their son".

"Good morning", "Did you sleep well?", "How was your day?", "Do you need another blanket?", these and more questions are the ones they ask me all the time, and even they sound no big deal, they do, because you see that they really care about you.
I still remember my first weekend, pizza for my first supper in Canada, and a three-provinces trip. I just have been in Nova Scotia almost four little months. And thanks them, I have discovered almost all Nova Scotia, since the famous Peggy´s Cove to the beautiful Victoria park, and my favorite: Lunenburg.
But just not places, I have been in amazing events. i.e., as a crowd pumper at "WE DAY".

Something I really like is supper time. I have known the delicious Canadian cousine, and also the international food my host parents have cooked.
My favorite part has been everything. But the trips have been the best. "Today is a nice day to go outside and...", that single phrase has meant to me, that day, is trip day. What I really enjoy is going to a trip with them, I have a really good time. I discovered and I learned more about this province called Nova Scotia that has a huge meaning in my life.

Time goes fast when you are enjoying it, I have just a few days and a month until taking the flight to go back to Mexico. No to home. Because home is where the heart is. And now and forever Nova Scotia you are my home and the Nielsen, my family.
